WELCOME

The Central California coast is home to a variety of different species of red, brown, and green algae. As the changing tide nudges pieces of seaweed to the shore, I sustainably collect the pieces that catch my eye. After making sure pieces are free of marine life, I bring them home to clean and press - a process that takes 2-4 weeks. Once complete, I use a water-based, nontoxic glue on recycled cotton watercolor paper to create unique pressings.
